History
The history of Saundersfoot is really interesting. Saundersfoot was known in medieval Wales as Llanussyllt. What was once a small number of medieval cottages in a forest clearing has grown into thriving coal port with its abundance of anthracite coal exportation fast forward 150 years and when the coal industry vanished Saundersfoot evolved into the seaside resort we know and love today. You’ll be able to explore this in more detail during your stay.
Shops
Saundersfoot offers a wide variety of shops which are located all within an area called the Strand. Here you can find shops ranging from beach-ware and gifts to more upmarket boutique shops – perfect for all ages and styles! We suggest checking out, Chobbles Traditional Sweet Shop tucked away is this quaint, traditional sweet shop with every possible sweet that you can imagine.
